For the second year, there will be a session on terrestrial ecosystem responses to climate and global change at the general assembly of the European Geoscience Union (EGU) in Vienna (Austria), 23-28 April 2016.

This session focuses on advancements on our understanding of how ecosystem processes respond to changes in CO₂ concentration, altered precipitation regimes, temperature, and nutrient availability. In this session, we will bring together modelling exercises with experimental and observational studies (climate and/or nutrient manipulation experiments, FACE experiments and other ecosystem-scale experimental setups). We encourage contributions spanning a range of scales and conditions: soil microbial activity, plant ecophysiology, nutrient cycling, and ecosystem level flux dynamics.
