The international conference “Role and Fate of Forest Ecosystems in a Changing World” will be held
in Bangkok on 15-19 January 2024
back-to-back with the 31st biennial conference of the International Union of Forest Research Organizations - Research Group 8.04 on “Air pollution and climate change”.
For the first time, the conference will be held in Southeast Asia, in Thailand, which is particularly vulnerable to climate change and air pollution given its large population, highest biodiversity in the tropical zone, and large number of forest-dependent communities.
All useful information are available online: https://iufro-bangkok2024.com
Deadline for abstract submission: 1 Sept 2023
Notice of presentation (oral or poster): 15 Sept 2023
Early registration until 15 Nov 2023
Late registration starting on 16 Nov 2023
No on-site registration
The main sessions of the conference are:
#1 - Asian forest ecosystems under changing environment
#2 - Urban greening: a win-win strategy for air quality, climate, biodiversity, and citizen well-being
#3 - Plant ecosystems in a changing world: monitoring, modeling, and risk assessment
#4 - Tropospheric ozone: a threat to terrestrial ecosystems and biodiversity
#5 - Atmospheric deposition: consequences for forest ecosystems
#6 - Genetic, biochemical, and physiological mechanisms underlying stress responses of forest ecosystems
#7 - Forest ecosystems under multiple stressors
#8 - Radioactive contamination of forest ecosystems
A full-day excursion is planned on 19 January 2024.
