I would like just to recall that in the Expert panel GV&B meeting in Pitesi (april 2016) the wish for common project(s) in modelling of Level I or Level II plots - soil and vegetation data was discussed.

This was included in the topics, but still no actions have been lauched, except a first exploration for italian datasets together with the colleageu Carnicelli (Florence Univ.) and my group in Camerino. 

Any proposal to launch a biodiversity project funding for biodiversity evaluation and development (e.g. re-survey on Level I plots) at EU level, EEA, etc. even within bi-lateral funding programme can be easily realized given the past experiences.
