Event Description

The next meeting of the Expert Panels on Meteorology/Phenology will be held from October 4th to 6th, 2011 in Vienna/Austria at the Research and Training Centre for Forests, Natural Hazards and Landscape (BFW). The meeting will start at Tuesday afternoon, on Wednesday we will have a field course on phenological autumn phases to the Vienna Woods and on Thursday noon the meeting will end.

Back to back to the Expert panel meeting we will have a workshop on leaf area index measurement (LAI) to draft a separate manual for this new survey. At this workshop we want to discuss the experience in LAI measurements made during the FutMon project and we will work on a draft of a LAI manual. The workshop will start at Thursday (October 6th) afternoon and ends at Friday (October 7th) noon.

For details please have a look to the attached preliminary program of both meetings.

You are kindly invited to participate either in both meetings or only in one. Please fill up and return the attached preliminary registration form before August 31st to: Stephan.Raspe@lwf.bayern.de.
