Dear Michael

On behalf of the Programme Co-ordinating Centre (PCC) of ICP Forests at the Thünen Institute of Forest Ecosystems I would like to thank you for successfully administrating ICP Forests since 2005. Over the years a constant flow of internal and external strategic decisions had to be taken along with official duties at annual meetings of the Task Force of ICP Forests, the Programme Co-ordinating Group and other bodies and ad-hoc groups of ICP Forests. Your effective and clear manner was helpful in many complex situations, which an advanced monitoring programme such as ICP Forests had to face over the years.
